Halcyon [single] released on earth day 2022 signifies the importance of raising awareness and taking action (as individuals) to slow the effects of the climate emergency .
Time is running out and we need to pull together and find solutions to our unsustainable ways of living.
This track was inspired by love for mother earth and all she provides and the sheer helplessness we feel in the face of this immense and worsening man made problem.
Halcyon features sound clips recorded in the wild, which is in essence an artists way of giving a non verbal being [earth] a voice.
Attached to this single release on Facebook/Spotify will be a donations tab to collect funds to go towards a climate emergency/conservation charity.
You and I know, this ain’t the way it’s supposed to be
And now the stars, they may fall, now the stars they may fall
In our sleep
Ear to the ground feel the thunder
You and I know this ain’t the way it’s supposed to feel
And now the sky, it may fall, and now the sky, it may fall,
Now the sky, it will fall
In our sleep
Ooh aah
Ooh aah
Will you remember how it feels?
To see the sunset and have the mountains at your heels
Before the sky it will fall
And the stars they will fall
And the life, you used to know, disappears.
Ooh aah
Aah aah
